HERMITAGE ACRES is geared toward you enjoying your horse. Our goal is giving you the opportunity to experience the freedom of hours in the saddle or at the lines. Three to four hours is not uncommon and may include riding in a lake or the mountains.

Along with riding, we also offer driver/harness training given by a professional teamster.  More pictures listed under Photos/Hermitage Acres!

"Babe" is a 5 year old Percheron mare.  This is her 4th time in shafts and working very well with her Pioneer forecart. 

Our facility is located on 60 acres in Elkwood, Virginia between Fredericksburg and Culpeper.  We provide field board with run-ins.  We have a lighted indoor with 60' roundpen.  The indoor also has five stalls for worked horses.  Hay is provided.  Grain and supplements are an option.

Weather providing, we ride frequently at Virginia WMA’s and Parks.   We also compete at the draft horse events.
